sikhs have been persucted for their religion for years... There are huge to differences between religous/racial prejudice and name calling.

I was offended by it because Rupy has to put up with racist shit everyday. His parents own a shop, and if they refuse to serve under age charvas, they get call Bin Laden lovers, Pakis, and especially plane hi jackers (just as pike was implying). That is so fucking ignorant, and just because of his skin colour people make assumptions. He's a Sikh for fucks sake, Sikh's fought for for the British in colonial times. His family are Ugandan Sikhs and were drove out the country by Adi Ammin (sp?). Calling him a plane hi-jacker is just like calling an Australian a dirty Yank - just assumptions made by skin colour.

peoples motivation behind their prejudice is different, whether it be religious, ignorance, whatever - but they're still insulting people. and i'm not saying calling someone a pie-eater is on the same level as a race/colour comment - it's how they're taken by the indiviual thats at issue. some people feel it's ok to make offending comments "cause, they use them to each other, don't they?" still don't make it right for everyone.

it was initially a thread about amsterdam, seems fair enough posting a picture of someone wrecked after returning from there.

personally think this has been one of the best threads i've read since i started usin message boards. no1 has got too upset (apart from 1or2 maybe) and there's been some belta debates and discussions.
