i bet no one gives a shit.

it's hardly one of the UK's leading club nights

1.50 in and a 1a drink, no one cares where it's on or what it plays, as long as it's open.

I never mentioned smile i was just commenting on peoples questions
    the thread is about promise/shindig

Scruf , not sure what i,ve done to offend you that much that you want me to leave town

Some peoples glee at the posibility of foundation closing is very upsetting
foundation employs alot of staff , they are at risk of losing there livelyhood
I think some peoples attitude is sickening .

i personally would be gutted if the club shut, i still love the place more than most places in town

and i know a lot of people there, so id hate for them to lose their jobs

i just hope that if new saturday nights started, there would be enough interest in the city- we hardly have loads of dedicated clubbers in this city

i'd like to think that the people we know who work their could quite easily be employed at other venues, mainly the new club especially seein as two of them are happily in the pockets of shindig/tokyo already...

things come and go, personally i think its about time the stranglehold foundation have had on the club scene in newcastle since ive been here was weakend..

something fresh is needed in the newcastle club scene, and i'm kind of glad that the forethought is being put in now, rather than later when the club is eventually bought and turned into flats and several good clubnights are left homeless, such as nice has been in the last 6-7 years... i don't think foundation is particuarly loved by that many people, and i don't feel it will be missed with a new venue opening.. especially in comparison with the nostalgia associated with rockshots when that closed...

hopefully if what john says is true, the new club will be the mutts nuts, i think that can only be welcomed?

for once, and i mean once, i actaully agree with you.

foundation has been the focal point for so long, all the big nights have come and gone from there (shindig, promise, stone love, wax on etc), and perhaps it is time for something new

i love the fact now that if shindig is a line up i dont fancy, ive got the option of nice- a city of this size should have more options

look at leeds- basics left the mint club to move to rehab, but the mint club didnt die- it now has technique, it j=used to have heritage

id love to see the same happen up here, give us a but more variety, and variety that lasts.

im excited about being able to go out in a new area of town more often, think of the scene down there when its all up and running- camp david, coco v, the forth etc will be buzzing even more than ever and that can only be a good thing

    out with the old....

Hed Kandi on a Sunday is by far the best night Stereo has there, even the doorstaff say it probs balances there books cos no other night touches this

Its on a Sunday as well, a night when there is nothing on at Foundation so regardless what happens at Foundation Stereo will probs still carry on as per :)

I am absolutely sick of Foundation tbh , I have some brilliant memories of that place though.

The specifications of the new soundsystem in the Powerhouse are fucking awesome.....watch out Fabric :)
