i know all asylum seekers arent bogus, i just think its wrong that ayslum seekers can travel through country after country just to come to Britain. They should be checked out properly before we let them in, given medicals to see if they have any diseases and if they have qualifications to do a good job let them in but keep the bogus ones out. We should look after people who live in this country before looking after people from others, the system is flawed. Pensioners get treated like shit

They dont all just come here. Every european country takes a quota and we are dwarfed by some counties. We arent even the highest in europe.

But if someone could offer you a better life, wouldnt you take it? You cant blame them for that. The poor unqualified people rarely get the chance to make it here, we get a lot of skilled asylum seekers. We also poach many skilled workers, such as doctors and nurses from poor nations... its a vicious circle init

I agree disease screening should be done if it already isnt, but it shouldnt neccessarily be a reason for keeping someone out.

Yes pensioners get a hard deal, but that isnt directly down to asylum seekers. This is an issue the government has to deal with because its something new every time this argument comes up... why cant the government use money from the the olympic bid to help restructure pension schemes? I for one dont want to pay taxes so london can have the olympics and we have our own problems. It may bring tourism but its gonna cost £££ too. You cant say take money from asylum seekers when there are so many more less deserving causes recieving tax payers money.

HIV TEST RATES SOARING (From Sky News today)

Britain is "in the grip of a serious HIV epidemic" as the number of people suffering from the infection continues to soar, figures show.

There are 53,000 adults now living with the virus, yet more than 14,000 of them are unaware of their infection.


The Health Protection Agency says there were 6,606 new HIV infections diagnosed in the UK during 2003.

The majority of new cases diagnosed in the UK are the result of people migrating from countries with the biggest HIV problem, especially Africa.

Still on eof the lowest figures in the world, And i use protection and have not to my knowledge slept with a Asylum seeker and get tested every 18 months so what if stupid fuckers have unprotected sex and end up with HIV ??? Its got nowt to do with asylum seekers..

Thats why I would support anyone wishing to apply for residency in this country having a blood test. Although any results shouldnt neccessarily stop them entering.

However, the good people at the BBC choose not to tell us about English fraud, favouring reporting stories on Asylum seekers to try and get the whole nation to think that they are all scum and are going to rob you...or at least thats how it appears.
