    we're meant to be defending/liberating the Iraqi's...

You can't invade a country and expect no reaction from the locals... it is our soldiers job to show restraint when civilians act in a hostile manner.

Problem is the UK government is encouraging thicko neds like Lee into the armed forces then sending them to Iraq with three months experience.

The loyal soldiers who protect our country with honour are the one's I feel sorry for. They have been badly let down.

the media reaction is hilarious but somewhat predictable (As are JJ's views on the matter  ). These troops are doing nothing more than giving the little cunts "a good kicking" the blows arnt followed thru, they arnt landed to permanently damage... its not racist and I would not even go as far as to say they out of order... the only idiot is the camera man, I cant guarantee hes had a much more serious beating than these kids since this has come out....... hell have been kicked to shit for filming this.

Jambum> SHIT HAPPENS. for fuks sake iv had harsher kickings from Bouncers and even the Police. If you act like these kids or have a smart mouth like Joe....... YOU EXPECT TO BE FUCKED UP AT SOME POINT IN LIFE.

As Novelle said........ theres much harsher things going on in our city centres and in police cells at a weekend..

there was a mortar attack on the base 10 mins before this, then they get petrol bombs andf bricks hurled at them, if i was over ther at that time, id have went out to kick fuck out of the cunts.

    Quote from Andy McNab Ex-SAS

Just read some interesting facts about the film... It involved troops of the A comp, 1st batt of the Light Infantry who had been under repeated attack by rebels and rioters without let up for days. That very day they had been attacked 65 times. Their company commander was later awarded the Dist Service Order medal for his leadership of THESE TROOPS that very days. that's one down from the VC.

These where not troops out of control but "snatch squads" who are sent out of the compound to confront troops who where trying to kill as many troops as possible...... these troops had been mortared and had bombs thrown at them the same day/attack. These troops had left the limited safety their compound offered to go into the street sand attempt to snatch the ringleaders of the rioters to take them back to base. The squads are completely allowed to SHOOT TO KILL when outside the base, all they have to say is that they where in danger. The fact is that didn't kill anyone. The beating the men dished out is exactly what we pay them to do, its exactly how they are trained, There was no blood drawn and no bones broken, the blows with the batons where all to arms and legs exactly as they are trained to do. MAXIMISE PAIN WITH MINIMAL DAMAGE to gain control of a situation. These rioters where lucky - they are still alive. If this was American forces they would have been shot in the street.

Because if you had gone through it and been put in that situation you'd be singing a different tune, not just you but joe and craig aswell.

What pike has said is true, all of it, the methods he described and the events leading up to it.

lol @ marce giving it the large one cause he was a soldier for 5 mins. Doing an assault course and climbing some ropes doesn't give you the authority on all matters of war.

Do you think these photos that have been published are ok then?

    Be quiet :upyours:

I don't think unjustified violence is acceptable no, not at all.

This wasn't unjustified so based on what happened i think they were right to do that.

They are there to peace keep. How the fuck are they supposed to keep the peace when people throw petrol bombs and fire mortars at them? Cause and effect Jambon.
