Having a DJ play in your shop can be really expensive (unless you get a mate to do it). We did it in Union about 2 years ago and stoped it after 1 month. Nobody really paid that much attention to the DJ, they were there to shop (makes sense really)

same with psyche in boro.. they tried it, ditched it.

Depends on the shop, been to both shops and they're hardly where you'd want to hang out.... However dj's in shops do work... look at cyberdog... it all depends on the atmosphere of the shop...

I get most of my clubbing clothes in propaganda -yes I know it's mainly a fetish shop! It's cool though.

Other shops in york include kaos and pulse. they're fairly small shops but they've got a bit in.

Also in leeds, cyberdog as said and strawberry peach, which is also in the corn exchange in leeds.
