    ooooo dear think i'll just delete ma post kind of agreeing with wat he said... im not racist in the slightest but he has got a kinda point hasnt he??!! or am i just missin a hidden meaning of what he said??!! i dont think he was meaning it racist or anythink like that i think he was just meaning it was kind of dividing the sections of society by defining it as a 'black' music channel n that we'd probably get wrong if we set up a 'white' music station..??!! sumfink like that anyways!! or hav i just missed the point...??!!! xxxx

    thats exactly what i thought rachel, the beeb are billing it as a black music station. can u imagine if there was a "white" station? or the MOWO awards? :monkey:

    I really hate that sort of attitude that's all.

    I can't type out my point of view on this subject because it will take me all year but I've heard so many white peeps makin' similar comments about 1xtra and it just fucks me off.

    its should simply be given another number bbc radio #

    radio 1 could play chart/ indie / dance etc..

    and the bbc radio "6" could play hip hop / rnb / soul

    calling it a black radio station will only provoke more racial tension.. like it has on here.

    not too bothered asbout their new station, if will probs have some good stuff on it! roots manuva, streets + other british rap + hiphop.....hopefully anyway.

    they could have a dance channel probs??

    like u said, no biggy.. it doesnt affect me, neither radio1 or 1xtra will ever ever ever play proper hardhouse ;)

    Most peeps I've spoken to about it think its a great idea.

    Credit to the BBC for calling a black music radio station, a black music radio station!

    Are you telling me that any of the styles they play are white music????

    sorry rob didnt mean to offend ya by kind of agreeing. i totally didnt mean anythink bad by it though n i totally n utterly arent at all racist i just thought that it was a bit strange callin it a "black" music channel cos it seemed as though it was kinda placing a distict divide between black people n white people which i didnt think most ppl in society wanted nowadays sorry if i offened ya i totally didnt mean anythink by it by saying what i did it just confoosed me thats all...... xxx

    kind of what i wanted to say, but im shit at writing... its not a black radio station, the music ehich it will play will be from all ethnic sources/origins, and i bet u my bottom dollar that not only black people will listen.
