Wristbands seem to be more about following the herd than they are about showing support for anything or anyone right now.

Im sure there are plenty of people who have a positive intention behind wearing one, but i'd like to bet the majority is just flaunting them as a 'hip' accessory... which probably went out of fashion about 3-6 months ago anyways.

Your's is more like a bracelet though, much better than all the wristbands. I've got a livestrong one of a while ago. Prepares for backlash!

it annoyed me how some people donated to this tsunami appeal and then made sure they told everyone they knew how much they had donated...when it was only a few £££ really and they would spend it without thinking in a bar or wherever

i know it's better than doing nothing but there is no reason to show off about it!

I like the idea behind the blue ones. They were free weren't they?

They are now selling for £10-£20 on ebay! :(

its a load of bollox about it being for charity. say if you buy one for a dollar, then after the directors and managers salaries, advertising, marketing, rent, computer systems, and all other overheads, about 2-5% goes to the cause. BIG FUCKING DEAL.

i do have one yes... i got it a while ago, and i did get it for the charity (admittedly i probably wouldnt have looked if i wouldnt have wore it, but thats irrelevant) - i do donate, in more ways than one. i quite like the little band and i also like what it stands for. sorry if that isn't good enough for you, but if so - tough shit, i dont do it to make myself feel better, it's merely a gesture, interpret it how you will, but im going to ignore you if you criticise me for it.
