i couldn't agree more, they are a fucking disgrace and in my opinion they aren't fans at all. fans are suppose to support, how does beating someone up or trashing a city support the national team???????

How is it an unfair thing to say?? I dont enjoy watching it, and although I can play it, I dont enjoy it either, therefore I consider it shite! But that is my opinion of the game..

It is a sport in which far too much money is tied up in... why should a top football player get paid x-times more than a top athlete or rugby player?? Yet we manage to do far better internationally in these sports than football (look at last olympic games)....

For the amount of money poured into football, England should be doin far better... shouldn t they??

Anyways each to their own i guess...

Its called demand. Far more people want to watch football so more money is made through attendances, advertising TV, sponsorship etc etc. Therefore they are paid more. I agree with u that it is rediculous that they get more in a week than any of us earn in a year but its because they have a skill that large numbers of us want to see.

surely its a catch 22 situation though... more money put into advertising therefore more people want to see it... if there was as little advertising for football as there was for most other sports, less people would want to watch it... its definaltely a loop!! if more money was put into advertising other sports, then maybe the demand for these other sports would increase.

I didnt mean football itself is adverstised. I meant people put money into football and adverstise at matches and on TV. It just gets so much revenue from all areas. All companies want to be associated with football cos it is so popular all over the world.
