totally understand this!!! cos if djs keep getting slagged off and read about it or hear about it, they aint exactly in a hurry to come back, nor does it do promises reputation any good, meaning word gets round, djs wont wanna play!!! promise doesnt develop and its our own fault........... TAKE NOTE!!!

The problem here is a conflict of interest. No one can be expected to please both the DJs and the punters all of the time. The punters need DJs but the DJs need punters as well. It's a vicious circle. And while other parts of the Promise web site may be able to act as a 'corporate engine' to promote Promise, the message board can't be part of that. That's why it's called a message board - it's for the people who GO to Promise and not for people who want to make the club look like its all fine and dandy (even tho it already is, IMO).

I used to run the Newcastle Eagles Basketball Club web site until they told me that the msg board had to reflect the team in a positive light. I understood why the actual web site had to promote the team but I felt that the msg board should represent the fans. That's why I refused to go along with it and let someone else take over the site (as a sidenote, its now shit.... hahahahahaha!!!).

To be fair, this board is probably the best I go on and I've yet to see all this mayhem that is apparently being caused. There's nothing at all wrong with this message board. End of.

Maybe it's just paranoia or overreaction. Once again, it is only a message board.
