    My sister and her peers are extremely mature, however when I look @ some of this messageboards population I wouldn't trust them with butter knife nevermind contraception.

    totally agree with what chris said, you mature sooooo much from 16 to 20/21, i ALWAYS say that when people go out with younger people.....

    i know a 17/yo girl who is going out with a 23 y/o lad....surely he must think she is immature?

    although there are some girls who are quite mature at 16...and are very tempting! :p

    i walked straight into that one didnt i :D !!! nah i mite be still well immature but im one hell of a lot mature times about 100 than i was when i was 16!! joe man when r u gonna come n see me u've bin missin all the fun!! well we havent dun anythink thats bin that unbelievably fun but me n marissa wud av amused u last nite if u'd av bin around come and see us soon please!! :) xxx

    wat nite wud that be..??!! fink davey was on about that but i've finally managed to persuade the girlies to come to blu bamboo with me wooohooo its taken about 2 years but think i've finally made em agree to it via using the excuse that its "my b'day nite out" hehe!! will def come with ya 1 week tho!! xxx

    We're a nation obsessed and have serious hang ups over issues like this.

    If thats the legal age of consent - whats the problem? Does it make more difference if a person is 30 instead of 16 aswell? If so - how?

    It totally depends on the people. It's patronising to say that every 16 year old is too immature to know what they are doing. If they want to shag an older bloke then its up to them. Maybe they'll grow up and realise that they're not in love with him after all but thats true for any relationship. As long as neither person is taking advantage or anything, I don't see whats wrong with it.
