1. (a) is it newcastle uni or (b) northumbria uni

reasons I ask

(a) is ridiculously big to fill
(b) the latter if its stage 2 is not the best of venues

2. is this going to be last friday of month?

Yeh mate, it's proposed for Newcastle Uni. We found a number of Venues but got dropped in the shit MASSIVELY at the very last minute. Im aware how big the place is which is why the ground work & effort have to be put in that little bit more with this. Im not expecting wonders, but if the line-ups are right & donkey work done properly I feel we will do well, if not then so be it.

It's only proposed for the last friday this once, were still yet to find a date which will not collide with another night & trying desperatley not to step on anyones toes. If the date clashes with anything you have up your sleeve, drop me a text & im sure we could re-shuffle

Like I say, if you had anything planned or do so for the future I would'nt want to step on any toes etc... we've tried not to do so with future dates, and still really thinking things through in regards to a secured monthly date, so just let me know.

A hope so, Newcastle Uni is mint venue, only have good memories of it, Judgement Day, Freaky Dancing and Goldie Lookin Chain.
Big room to fill like, you should take a leaf out of Freaky Dancin books and run with other local nights, ala Rollies for mice, backlash, Cause n effect, Detox or Freaky.
4 rooms u can use so may aswell

Freaky Dancin v Detox was a class night, if Proudy wants advice on filling the venue best talking to Gav freaky dancing, will be hard to fill just with the line up they have with ferry being on in the same month and last ever GG at Tall Trees.
They say January is a bad month but for a trance night trying to restart this feb couldn't be much worse in toon

If it's the last friday it shouldn't make any difference as it's pay day!

Sorry about the lack info lately.
In a nutshell the night is definately going ahead. The reason I didnt stick any Artwork up is because the Uni dropped us in it with our February date (which up until yesterday) I was still trying to sort out. We got promised the 29th Feb then the girl who I finalised everything with went off on the sick, leaving no handover, confirmation of our proposed date or anything to Davey Bruce (Manager of Entertainments for the SU). I went for a meeting with Davey to which he told me because he received no handover the date had been given away to a Band (think it's Mark Ronson).
He has however been VERY accomodating & went out of his way to sort us out, giving us a monthly date starting in May for definate, with the possibility (dending on a pencilled in act) of starting on April.
I have spent a rediculous amount of man hours being fucked around from various promters who have promised Venues/Dates, having me in for meetings, to then be dropped in the shit once things are an inch away from being secured.
Anyways, it's not ideal but suppose we have to grit our teeth & bare it if we want to see anything happen up here so will have to roll with what we've been given.
I have the Logo's etc... the line-up may differ slightly to what was originally proposed but CERTAINLY nothing less calibre wise, so fingers crossed & you's should see something up in the events section shortly
