I deffo understand what yas are all saying here. Dont want to sound like im criticising non-clubbing types because the majority of my friends are non-clubbing types. Well they think they are clubbing types cos they go to Baja and stuff. But i guess that there shows exactly what i mean - how the two sides dont really understand each other. Anyway loads of people just think u are boring cos u dont wanna come on a piss-up with them. Theres also certain people that u cant really explain to why ur not a big drinker like people above u at work and stuff and then they also just think your some kind of saddo. Where i worked last year i would sometimes go out on work nights out just to be sociable and i used to hate sitting there thinking people are getting the totally wrong impression of u cos ur not really enjoying the night and they just think ur a miserable git.

Also even having conversations with non-clubbing types is sometimes harder. Though that depends on who the person is. Obviously if its one of ur good friends im sure u would always have plently to talk about.

Hope some of that makes at least a little sense. :)

I was on the phone to my mate who I hadnt seen for about a year and asked me what Im into nowadays and I told him I was well into my dance music and stuff, he replied "Are you? thats great, so am I! I go to Ikon every saturday, you'll have to come sometime"

    "erm...ok mate"

i'm the complete opposite...it bores the barnacles of me listening to people rambling on about clubbing and clubs and dj's and mixes of tunes...its a night out!

i used to be really interested in it but it still gets tedious after hours of discussing who played what and where at which festival 3 years ago

im so glad that cubbing doesnt run my life now cus your right u do forget how to talk to other people and makes u a bit of a recluse when starting new jobs etc

in fact with fufu....weve spent alot of time together yet i cant recall one conversation that weve had about clubbing apart from....who's going, what time meeting up...thats it, we usually have conversations about every topic other than clubbing....makes a nice change!!

i agree with you entirely though helen...talking about clubbin and djs and stuff ALL THE TIME bores me senseless too...just i find it hard to talk to people who arnt into clubbin for some reason...

and whilst i dont like the fact that clubbin is probs one of the most major things in my life at the mo i cant really help it, cos its one of the only things i really enjoy doing.

*needs more weekday activities, rather than just sittin round waitin for the weekend!!!*

DEXTA > i was sayin cyber was the way forwards aswell, a while back...never ever thought i would see the day where i would get bored of it but i did!

still fink its ace and stuff and this time last year i was stockin up on cyber stuff for ibiza but now ive seen the error of my ways;) and have gone back to plain old jeans and tees!

nah only kiddin...still think cyber looks wikid...wen done well anyways...it just doesnt make me wanna go out dressed in it anymore thats all!

mite dig out some old photos of a few old cybers from the board to show ur mate!:p

totally agree wif u mate...there deffo is more to life than promise and any other club...but what ive found is that when u go clubbin week in week out u tend to get stuck in a bit of a rut....which is why people end up taking breaks from it

ive also found that ive made loadsa mates through clubbin but then ive also lost some mates who dont go clubbin...just because they arnt involved in the whole clubbin lifestyle

    Yeah sure there is.....

    theres Gatecrasher, Sundissential, Godskicthen....

No but in all seriousness I do find it rather sad that my life revolves round my weekend, not just clubbing but going out drinking aswell. I never do anything through the week apart from sit and watch TV and sit on the net, cant be very healthy at all can it :(

Definately, I sometimes see my non-clubbing mates that I never see anymore and it makes me really sad because I remember the times we had at school together and stuff. And no matter how many new mates Ive met through clubbing and how good they are you can never replace the people you grew up with can u?? :D

lol @ me getting all sentimental, and it isnt even tuesday
