    Kids these days dont have THE FEAR.

    They know they can do as they please and no one can touch them.

    They need to get a slap every now and again. A slap to make the skin red is ok but nothing as hard as to bruise.

    You can only judge once you have children of your own,so i'm not in a position to say.

    But if you teach your kids respect in the first place ..there should be no need to hit.

    But again thats an outsiders opinion ....as i don't have any kids.

    People seem to point the finger at parents too much for such things as "needing more respect" etc.

    It's down to the kid at the end of the day, I was a little shit when I was younger, and that was no fault of my parents!

    The odd smack never did me any harm. I would say it's ok to get a clip round the ear or a red arse from time to time.....

    Not bruising or anything like that though :down:

    i agree with smacking but not beating...if a child has bween naughty then smack it so that it learns right from wrong!

    They do respect in a funny sort of way, but it still doesn't make them behave, no matter how much you tell them off, or smack them, etc. They just go through horrible little stages, and if they are going to misbehave, then they will do no matter what sadly.
