I agree with Lister like... Filming daft birds with party hats on at a night like Wax On proves they are trying to make them look like cunts to be fair.

I'm widely known for constantly bashing Sunderland (City Centre) the place is a FUCKING DUMP and be sure it winds me up more than anyone, being my home town.

BUT

Stuff like this in the media is hideous like. Top Gear pulled exactly the same stunt when they done that exhibition at Mima in Boro. Say "we are going to the north east" then deliberately film the worst estates and people they can find.

I reckon these film crews just think its a bit of a laugh but the fact is its an absolute scandal no one has the sense to say "actually lets show something decent".

I almlost wrote in to the BBC to complain and Im not even from Boro!

TBF that estate they filmed in boro with all the people wearing tracky bottoms is in the town centre..and by no means the worst estate in boro

im not denying that Sunderland and Boro arent exactly flush with stunning places to film, but the fact is there still is SOME.

Its just that the media and probably more likely the media from down south are perfectly happy to portray us as a region of tracky wearing, jobless bums.

To be fair i've got an image of everyone down south speaking in a cockney accent and thats much worse than some charva from up here.

Considering down london way the actual percentage of cockneys you meet is either cab drivers of 5% of the public (tops).
