Is it just me or do you lot think the board wasn't such a bad place before? The last few weeks have made me realise this.

I miss having arguments with people, last night with Brid was the first fix I've had for about 5 weeks.

Yeah, I just really don't have the time to deal with it all. I hoped that passing it onto other people will make it better, so far I was very wrong.

That being said I think a few people who are/were on the council have the right idea and could make a good job of it if they worked together.

IMO it was alot better when you actually cared and looked after things. I know I disagreed alot and stuff but it went right down the pan when you stopped bothering with it. I'm not just talking about since the council came into play, this was quite a while ago when you seemed to stop trying to sort anything out.

Never thought I'd say that in my lifetime.

for starters the council members should stop bailing at the first sign their popularity is taking a nosedive

there was a lot of cooperation in there early doors up til the point of the big mod deletion evening

Thanks Pete, it's just a case of me having other things that matter more to me these day. When we started the board I didn't really enjoy my job as my boss didn't have a clue so I was happy to slack off and put the time in. Now I work for myself I enjoy running my part of this company far more than running message boards.

I guess I'm growing up (at last). :(

I don't know how to improve this place any more, and I'm actually pretty sorry to have seen it got like this.

The Council haven't actually done anything, this seems to be the problem.

Even the cutting the number of forums idea seems to have died, and the longer it carries on in this state the more of our best members we lose :(

There's no sign of the extra publicity either.

I suppose this goes to show what I've long suspected - if you want a job doing well, you need 1 person who knows what's what running things. If you want to take ages, you get a committee together.

well you could look at it another way. It seems amazing to me that Rob can be bothered with it at all since he just gets abuse for it. but I'm really glad he does.
And I'm amazed that anyone could be bothered to put any time into being a mod since they just get abuse, and I'm even more amazed that anyone would be prepared to take the time to try and improve things by being a councillor since everyone seems to hate them for trying.
Maybe they aint done anything we can see and maybe they have but if they do at least one thing that works then that will be more than all the whiners will have done

Andy , you would get the council to do somehting if half of them ever bothered to turn up in the forum over the last couple of weeks

and 2 of them jumping ship cos they cant take the flak is just an easy route out

mind you basic seems on the level and ruth aint all that bad

    jimmi is sound too

the council were put in place to choose new mods = done

the council were put in place to administer banners = done

the council were put in place to administer funds = done

the council were put in place to pull new set rules together = done but not issued yet

mostly what they were asked to do was take over the job of Rob

THEY CANNOT REMOVE THE W*****S BECAUSE the immune admin are sympatheic to them, NO COUNCIL or individual will change that, despite the fact the council was told it could pick / choose the admin

if you aint happy pick a new council in a few months time

    THE END

Melt I've been on this board from the beginning and until you I don't think anyones wanted me barred.

You've been on the board 5 minutes and I think you've had more complaints than any user the sites seen.
