    this is deffo the end of fireworks in footie stadiums... anywone remeber a few years ago an old man got hit in the face with one at a wales match? think he died in hospital...

    shouldn't have been there in the first place mate.

    yeah but i think the people who put them on the pitch and din't position and hold them down properly should have thought it could happen, and gone on the side of caution really!

    i wouldn't let me or anyone get hit either like!

    so it comes down to the fact that the firework company were at fault, not making sure they were tired down, all we r saying is that the injured lady will get a very substanial claim, not only from the firework company, but also the football club,:) :) :) :) :)

    the fact the club let fireworks in there, and then the fact hte firework company (if it was a proper company) couldn't have done much of a risk assessment means she will get quite a bit probably!and deserves it all!it was horrendous!

    seriously though jeff was right, fieworks shouldn't be allowed in football stadiums+ it was by a proffesional display team so i reckon they and the stadium safety team would have done a full assesment- the fa also send a safety officer to every league+cup game...

    it was just a freak accident i think...

    i would want an executive box and all that malarky, free beer would be the icing on the cake, here is 30 grand or a 1 grand box+free food and beer 4 the rest of ure life, say i die when im in my 80's, theres no competition:) :) :)
