probably because that stuff he is playing is so shit that he has to rely on being a performing monkey with a weird haircut to get the crowd going.

quick your powers are weak old man your jedi mind tricks will not work on me

ive seen plenty of techno djs this year and I wouldnt necessarily have yoji down as a techno dj but the stuff he was serving up at global was infinitely more enjoybale techno than the stuff hawtin bored me with at digital and it definately wernt hardstyle

i am liking his new haircut tho

i think you would look goood with one of them quickster

Hawtin plays minimal he was totaly one paced and crap at glade its sad to see him play so badly.

I Have good set on the net of him playing minimal mixed with acid and harder techno stuff but he totaly got it wrong at glade.

I would in no way call what yoji plays techno even tho its a board gendre i find that clip really cheesy both musicaly and the crowd interaction.

For hard techno its all about regis, surgeon, ben sims,Neil landstrom,Adam X,Jeff mills and Robert Hood there sound is nothing like what the hardhouse lot play imo.Plus they lay off the effects buttons.

Yeah they don't need to interact though, they let the music do the talking. And that mash up of tracks sounds horrendous imo lol

I'm all for some good UK hard trance but the music in that video is fucking gash. Sounds like something marcel woods would play but with annoying noises aswell as the shit breakdown.

Sasha and Digweed might look fucking bland behind the decks but Digweed and especially Sasha are playing some fucking top quality music now.

and it's only subjective to a certain degree. ;)
